The brief was deceptively simple: “I want windows and doors that are slim and look like expensive custom made steel. But I want them in timber!”

Evolution worked with the architect to achieve frame integrity and strength while encapsulating the well known slimline look of steel. The custom designed western red cedar hinged doors features impressive details like stepped detail in and around the mortice lock and a door handle that required specific custom shaping of the glass panels.

Low-E glazing was combined with some double glazed units to meet BASIX requirements, and all items carry fully integrated seals for minimal leakage.

The owners were over the moon with the end result. In their words, “Brilliant!”
